During one of the big storms here in Florida, two palm trees at Chris' work were struck by lightning. Chris thought it would be neat to carve this "enchanted" wood into tiki's, and this is how we ended up with two 9 foot tall, super heavy, waterlogged palm tree trunks at our house. We cut the trunks into 3 foot sections and set them out to dry. Well, we didn't know that palm trees had so much water in the trunks, and with it being so humid here all they did was stink up the garage and become covered with mold (ewwwwww). Finally a couple months later we have one tiki in progress.
